A noticeable accent throughout Walter’s wabi-sabi interiors is the use of custom marble pieces for the kitchen island and TV console. Called Sakura Marble, the pieces add vibrant touches of colour to otherwise timeless interiors that act as a neutral base for Walter to easily switch up his home in the future.
Recessed into the kitchen island is a 500mm NEXEN Slim Power Track in Starlight Silver. Installed right next to Walter’s ‘mini cafe’ space that holds his coffee machine, grinder and water purifier, the Slim Power Track caters to Walter’s penchant for a clutter free home as it allows for a sleek, neat space when not in use – ideal for a home with 2 dogs, Stormi and Rody.
A typical day for Walter begins with his ‘dog daddy duties’ – such as preparing their breakfast – before he takes them to his creative studio, The Assembly Clan. After arriving home from a day’s work, a little downtime ritual he loves partaking in his simply to switch on the candle warmer plugged into the Power Track by his kitchen island, filling the house with a gentle, smoky scent by Le Labo.
Installed inside a custom shelf on the balcony is a 500mm NEXEN Slim Surface+ Power Track that comes integrated with a motion-activated
LED light strip and dual 2.4A USB ports. The down light from the Power Track comes in especially handy when Walter brings the dogs
out for their midnight toilet run – all he has t o do is wave his hand under the Power Track for light. The USB ports also come into great use
for a man who loves having friends over – as it makes it completely fuss free to let them charge their phones and devices.
Rounding up the abode are the Power Tracks behind the living room sofa and hidden in the TV console (not pictured), making powering up any device or appliance – like his desk fan and vacuum cleaner – truly a breeze in Walter’s first home.
